Leads User Guide

TL;DR

The Leads feature gives you a visual kanban board to organize all your prospects by pipeline stage. Drag cards between columns to move leads forward, customize what information appears on each card, and save your view preferences automatically.

How to Access

Open the Leads page from the main navigation. You'll see a kanban board with columns representing each stage of your sales pipeline. Each card in a column represents a single lead, so you can see all your prospects at a glance and understand where each one stands in your process.

How to Customize

Organize Your Stages

Each column represents a pipeline stage and can be customized:

  • Rename stages to match your workflow

  • Change stage colors to visually distinguish them at a glance

  • Reorder columns to match your preferred sequence

  • Collapse stages you don't need to see right now to save screen space

Control What Appears on Cards

Customize which information displays on each lead card so you see what matters most to your sales process. You can choose to show fields like contact name, company, last activity date, or any other lead property relevant to your workflow.

Save Your View Preferences

Your personal view settings are saved automatically:

  • Column widths you adjust

  • Which columns you collapse or expand

  • Your preferred sort order

  • Which stats you want to see

When you return to the Leads page, your customized view is exactly as you left it.

Display Lead Metrics

Toggle a stats row above the kanban board to see high-level metrics like:

  • Total number of leads

  • Conversion rates

  • Other key performance indicators

Use the stats visibility button in the toolbar to show or hide this section. Your preference is remembered.

Use Best Practices

Moving Leads Between Stages

When you drag a lead card to a new stage:

  1. Drop it in the column where it belongs

  2. The system automatically saves the change to your backend

  3. The card stays in its new position

If something goes wrong with the move, the card automatically returns to where it started.

Keep Your Board Focused

  • Avoid putting too much information on each card — keep it simple and scannable

  • Click a card to open the full lead details if you need more information

  • This keeps your board responsive and easy to navigate

Use Consistent Stage Names

Make sure your stage names are clear and consistent across your team so everyone understands where a lead is in the pipeline.
